Accounting applications of a spreadsheet
Part 2 — four applications named in the syllabus (payroll, sales and commission, student marks, journal), then charts and a spreadsheet database that can be sorted, filtered and queried.
In this lesson you will
- Design a payroll sheet computing basic pay, DA, HRA, TA, CCA, provident fund, income tax and net pay
- Prepare a sales sheet with profit on sales and salesmen’s commission, and a student marks sheet with results and grades
- Keep a journal in a spreadsheet with totals, an agreement check and ledger balances
- Create a suitable chart, and sort, filter and query a list of records
