Probability — Part 1: The classical definition

Beta
Lesson

Probability, Part 1: How likely is it?

From "impossible" to "certain", every chance is a number between 00 and 11.

In this lesson you will

  • Describe outcomes, sample spaces and events
  • Recognise equally likely outcomes
  • Find the theoretical probability of an event
  • Use 0 ≤ P(E) ≤ 1 and P(E) + P(not E) = 1
Every probability lies between $0$ (impossible) and $1$ (certain).
