For Students

Learn beyond
the answer.

School shouldn't just be about finding the right answer to a question someone else has already solved. It should be about learning how to think when the answer isn't obvious.

At SOYL, we challenge you to learn through doing. No more endless worksheets or formulaic essays. We want to see what you can build, how you reason, and how you tackle real problems.

Solve.Build.Argue.Explain.Reflect.

Use AI to think better, not to skip thinking.

We know you have access to powerful AI tools. We expect you to use them. But in a SOYL assignment, you can't just copy-paste an answer. You have to explain your process, defend your choices, and prove that the ideas are yours. Technology is your co-pilot, but you are flying the plane.

FAQ

Questions from students

Can I use AI in a SOYL assignment?

Yes, you can use AI tools, but you cannot simply copy and paste an answer. In a SOYL assignment you explain your process, defend your choices and show that the ideas are yours.

Can individual students join SOYL Academy?

Yes. Registrations are open for Future Builders, a 12-week live online programme for Grades 7 to 12. Individual students can enroll directly, without a school partnership. Visit the Future Builders page for programme details and registration.

What will I do in a SOYL assignment?

You learn by doing: you solve, build, argue, explain and reflect. Instead of worksheets and formulaic essays, you show what you can build, how you reason and how you tackle real problems.
